Absolutely! There are many standardized and informal assessments that have been approved for remote administration. Our therapists are well-versed in remote evaluation protocols and will work with you to ensure all assessment requirements are met in compliance with your district’s guidelines.
All of our therapists are ASHA certified and hold licenses in their home state. We ensure that every therapist working with your students meets all state and federal requirements for school-based speech-language pathology services. Credentialing documentation is available upon request.
Yes! There is very little functional difference between a teletherapist’s duties and those of an in-person therapist. Our therapists are experienced with all aspects of school-based therapy services, including IEP development and management, annual and triennial meetings, progress monitoring, and team communication. They are fully equipped to serve as case managers for your students.
Communication with parents and teachers is of the utmost importance to Apex Therapy Solutions. While following strict guidelines set forth in the student’s IEP, the therapist may communicate by phone, email, and/or video conference. Therapists send out progress reports based on the district’s agreed-upon timeline. We encourage parents and staff to reach out at any time — an open line of communication is central to our practice model.
All you need is a reliable internet connection and a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and audio capabilities. Tablets and iPads also work well for younger students. Student privacy is very important to us — all connections are secure and HIPAA compliant. No special software installation is required from the student’s side.
